Protect your furniture

Make sure your furniture stays fresh for years to come!

Aftercare Tips & Tricks:

-Avoid setting hot or wet items on any wood surfaces.

-Be mindful of plants (even if they have a catch tray) moisture can accumulate under the tray and cause damage.

-If your furniture has been refinished make sure to be extra gentle. It takes 8-10months for the lacquer to fully harden meaning the furniture is more susceptible to damage during the first year.

-Use place mats and cup holders when setting drinks or other wet / hot items down.

-Refrain from sliding plates or other items across surfaces.

-Use felt pads on the bottom of all items placed on top of a wood surface for worry-free sliding!

-Avoid using any chemicals on your furniture including Windex or other all purpose cleaners.

-Do not use furniture oil. This will build up residue overtime and make the surface sticky.

-Do not sure restore-a-finish. It will look nice at first but can actually cause damage to the furniture.

-Use blankets when moving to avoid dinging corners on walls and trim.

-Never slide furniture across the floor as it can put pressure on the legs and cause damage to hardwood floors. We recommend putting a washcloth under each leg when moving to make for easily sliding if you haven’t already added furniture pads.

-Avoid carrying furniture by the legs

-Tighten table legs every six months. Normal use will cause them to loosen over time and if not re-tightened can make for shaky legs that can be easily damaged.
